- 金剛薩埵
- Vajrasattva(-mahāsattva). 金薩 A form of Puxian (Samantabhadra), reckoned as the second of the eight patriarchs of the 真言宗 Shingon sect, also known as 金剛手 (金剛手祕密王 or金剛手菩薩) and other similar titles. The term is also applied to all (sa) vajra-beings, or (sa) vajra-bodhisattvas; especially those in the moon-circle in the east of the Diamond (sa) maṇḍala. Śākyamuni also takes the (sa) vajrasattva form.(1) All beings are (sa) vajrasattva, because of their Buddha-nature.(2) So are all beginners in the faith and practice.(3) So are the retinue of Akṣobhya.(4) So is Great Puxian.
